Sports Funding 2018-2019
For the academic year of 2018-2019 we are due to recieve £16,000 and an additional payment of £10 per pupil.
Payments will be received by:
- 7/12 of our funding allocation on 30 October 2018
- 5/12 of our funding allocation on 30 April 2019
Our aspirations for using the sports funding for this year are:
- to continue with our involvement witht the Perins partnership - using a PE specialist to take weekly sessions with all classes that will engage children and aid staff with their CPD as well as providing interhouse Level 1 competitions for all year groups throughout th year. £5260 has been allocated for this.
- continue with our involvement in the 7AS events and using the funding to provide transport to each event - costings will be approximately the same as last year (£1080).
- look to develop a permanent trim train on the field and an all weather Golden Mile track in order to increase physical activity levels
- look to develop staff CPD in dance as this is an area they have identified for CPD.
Sports Funding
We believe a high quality PE curriculum should be an integral part of the whole school curriculum. Through PE and physical activity, children demonstrate and live out our core values of love, hope and justice.
Our PE curriculum aims to ensure that all pupils develop the fundamental skills and competence to participate in a wide range of physical activities by providing a broad and balanced curriculum.
Our PE curriculum is inclusive and ensures that all children have the opportunity to take part in a range of activities and that they are physically active for sustained periods of time in order to encourage them to lead healthy, active lives.
